National Trusts Welcomes Families to Isle of Wight Easter Egg Trails

The National Trust is inviting families to a number of Easter egg trails across the Isle of Wight this spring.

There’s plenty of fun and discovery for families as they experience nature bursting into life at Mottistone Gardens, The Needles Old Battery, Newtown National Nature Reserve and Bembridge Windmill.

From creating wild art to decorating with spring colours, the trails have been designed to tickle the senses and immerse little ones in the natural world and heritage of the Island. And of course, each National Trust Easter adventure in nature trail ends with a chocolate egg, made here in the UK using cocoa responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

Mottistone Gardens Easter Activity Trail
11 April-24 April
This spring, treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Mottistone Gardens on the Easter adventures in nature trail. Make your way along the trail, take in the season highlights in the garden and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Make your own nature discoveries, have fun and collect your chocolate egg at the end. Normal admission plus £3 per trail.

Easter Activity Trail at Newtown
15 April-18 April
This spring, treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Newtown National Nature Reserve on our Easter adventures in nature trails. See the lesser trodden parts of the reserve as you make your way along the trail, finding nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Complete the trail and collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg. Normal admission plus £3 per trail.

Easter Activity Trail at Bembridge Windmill
14 April-17 April
Your little ones will love to dip into a world of adventures at Bembridge Windmill on the Easter adventures in nature trails. See the Island’s remaining windmill, make your way along the trail, finding nature inspired activities for the whole family. Make your own discoveries, have fun, and collect your chocolate egg at the end. Normal admission plus £3 per trail.

Easter Activity Trail at the Needles Old Battery
16 April-18 April
Have an outdoor adventure this spring at the Needles and go on an Easter trail. Help ‘decorate the Battery' with spring colours with a giant blackboard, create a lighthouse bug hotel and make friends with a beetle, ‘track the bats’ by finding the different bats that are hanging around. Find the trail points around the Old Battery and the headland, look out for the signs of nature and complete activities. Have fun with the whole family, make your own nature discoveries and collect your chocolate egg at the end. Normal admission plus £3 per trail.
