A brand-new skatepark in East Cowes is set to officially open this week, marking a major investment in facilities for local young people and the wider community.

The funding, along with a further £3,200 from philanthropic donors, will support a new project called Forgotten People, Lost Technologies.

It was originally presented to the battalion by the officers and men of the 2nd Battalion before their departure from the Island.
