Rainbow Run Returns To New Isle of Wight Location This Summer

Islanders are being invited to walk, run or dance their way through the Island’s most colourful fundraising event this summer.

This year's trek will take place on July 10 at Northwood’s County Showground.

Now in its fourth year, the 3km family fun run is Wessex Cancer Trust’s biggest annual fundraiser and features a course of giant inflatables, colour stations and bubbles.

Tickets for this year’s event go on sale today (Monday) and, for a limited time, early bookers can enjoy 10% off registration fees with the code rainbow10.

For the first time, this year’s course will take the shape of an actual rainbow.

The charity’s regional fundraising manager, Lorraine White, said:

“Rainbow Run has become a firm favourite in the Island’s summer events calendar and the winning combination of giant inflatables, rainbow paint, bubbles and sunshine always create the most amazing atmosphere.

“We’re super excited the route will this year form the shape of a rainbow, so make sure you’ve got your trackers at the ready!

"Since it started, Rainbow Run has raised more than £100,000 for Island families living with cancer and, this year, we need your support more than ever."

This year’s Rainbow Run is sponsored by ARID Design and Management Consultants and will include entertainment, food vans and a licensed bar.

All participants will receive a medal for taking part and those who raise more than £50 in sponsorship by June 10 will become star fundraisers, receiving a special Rainbow Run T-shirt to wear on the day.

People can sign up online to take part in this year's Rainbow Run.
