East Wight MP Joe Robertson has organised a visit by the Lloyds Bank Foundation to Sandown.

Thousands of people are expected to join Paddle Out Protests today.

Senior Lecturer at The Open University, Emily Bullock, said the workshop will use a range of creative prompts inspired by the local coastline and history.

Formed just a month ago, the newly named Fitness Hub Mermaids will be plunging into the sea at Sandown Bay three times a week throughout December.

In April this year, Sandown Town Council secured funding for the project, which will see a new facility built at Sandown Grounds following extensive consultation with residents.
