The Isle Of Wight Radio Child Of Wight Awards Are Back For 2022

The winners of the Child of Wight Awards 2019

The Isle of Wight Radio Child of Wight Awards are back for 2022. This is the chance to celebrate the achievements of the Island’s most precious asset: its children.

13th May 2022 at Tapnell Farm Park

Sponsored by WightFibre

There are 11 awards that cover all aspects of a child's life — and to celebrate Isle of Wight Radio will be taking them for an evening of fun and celebration at one of the Island’s top attractions: Tapnell Farm Park on May 13th.

All you have to do is nominate a child who you think deserves to be recognised for outstanding achievements. The nominees are invited along with their families to enjoy a night of celebration, fun and entertainment, along with local dignitaries and the award sponsors.

Isle of Wight Radio managing director, Claire John, said:

“It is so important to recognise the Island's children, and at the new venue, Tapnell Farm Park, this year's Child of Wight will have a real fun element.

“I encourage everyone who knows a child that deserves recognition to nominate them today! As always, huge thanks to all of our sponsors who make the event possible.”

The fun will start when the children arrive. They will get an hour in the farm park before moving into the main events barn where they will be served “Burgers on Bales” provided by The Cow, home to the Island’s best burger.

With entertainment throughout the whole event, the Island's children will be celebrated in an evening full of emotion and uplifting stories that reflect their amazing qualities.

WightFibre CEO, John Irvine said:

“After two years of COVID it is great to have the Child of Wight Awards back for 2022. I’m sure there are going to be many incredible young people who deserve some special recognition after such an unusual time.

“WightFibre is really proud of our association with Isle of Wight Radio and the Child of Wight Awards. We are delighted to sponsor these awards again for the sixth year running.”
