A music video for Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s Walk the Wight With You has been released, featuring choir singers, the charity’s CEO and pianist, Nigel Hartley MBE, and G4 singer, Mike Christie.

The film was shot on location at Carisbrooke Castle, as well as high above the West Wight and it features dramatic drone footage and incredible scenes of parts of the Walk the Wight route.

The video helps emphasise the uplifting nature of the anthemic song, which has been written and produced by Mike, in celebration of 35 years of this iconic fundraising event.

When Walk the Wight takes place, on Sunday, 11 May, over 6,500 people will take on one of four routes, in support of Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s expert staff provide 24/7 care to Islanders, in their own

homes and on the inpatient unit in Newport, as well as supporting those dealing with

death and dying.

In 2024, Walk the Wight raised a record-breaking £560,000.

Costing around £10.5 million per year to run, one third of Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s

services are funded by NHS commissioners.

The rest of the money comes from the Island’s community, including donations, grants, gifts in wills and fundraising events like Walk the Wight.
