The Hut in Colwell Bay has been shortlisted for Restaurateur of the Year – Independent at the 2026 Cateys.
The awards, organised by The Caterer, are among the most prestigious in the UK hospitality industry and will take place on 7 July at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
The shortlisting recognises The Hut as one of the country’s standout independent restaurant operators, following more than a decade of building its reputation as a leading destination venue.
Located on the shoreline of Colwell Bay, the restaurant has become known for its relaxed, Mediterranean-inspired dining and vibrant atmosphere, attracting returning visitors year after year.
The business is led by Matt and George Adams, who say the recognition reflects the strength of their team and the experience they have created.
Matt Adams said:
