Snap Fitness Isle of Wight is celebrating after being shortlisted for two categories at this year’s National Fitness Awards — the UK’s biggest celebration of gyms and fitness facilities.

The Lake-based club is in the running for the Community Involvement Award and the Customer Service Award, with finalists chosen from across the country.

Now in its 15th year, the awards shine a spotlight on excellence in the fitness industry, with shortlisted clubs facing site visits from judges before the winners are announced at a glittering ceremony in Leicester this November, hosted by broadcaster Natalie Sawyer.

It’s familiar territory for Snap Fitness Isle of Wight, which scooped the Customer Service Award at last year’s event.

Club manager Victoria Coles said:

“Being a finalist again means so much to us, because it recognises what we believe in – that a gym should be more than just four walls and somewhere to get fit.
"We’ve worked hard to support local charities, schools, groups and businesses, to create a space where the community feels stronger together.
"To have that effort recognised on a national stage is a huge honour.”

Event director Dominic Musgrave added:

“With more entries than ever before, our finalists really have reason to celebrate.
"It’s a huge achievement to make the shortlist and testament to the teams behind each.”

The winners will be announced at The Athena, Leicester, on Friday 28 November.
