Mountbatten Isle of Wight has revealed that more than £87,000 was raised during this year's Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival.
The total was achieved thanks to the efforts of the hospice charity's volunteer roaming sunflower merchandise teams, Penny Lane stall holders and supporters from the Isle of Wight Festival Banter Group.
Festivalgoers were able to pick up a range of items in return for suggested donations, including Mountbatten's popular sunflower umbrellas, which doubled as parasols during the hot weather, as well as sunflower brooches and crochet fashion items made by members of the charity's Knit and Natter group.
Mountbatten's charity stall was located near the Electro Love and Intoxicated Tea Rooms tents, while teams of volunteers also travelled around the festival site with merchandise trolleys.
By Sunday, sunflower umbrellas could be seen across the Main Stage arena.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Wight Festival Banter Group, led by long-time hospice supporter Gary Boyd, raised a further £1,092.60 for the charity.
Harri McNeil, Community Fundraiser at Mountbatten Isle of Wight, thanked everyone who supported the charity over the festival weekend.
She praised the hard work of volunteers and stall holders, as well as the continued support of the Isle of Wight Festival Banter Group.
Harri said the money raised will help fund Mountbatten's award-winning care services for Islanders facing death, dying and bereavement, with 85 per cent of that care delivered in people's homes.
She also thanked the Isle of Wight Festival team and everyone who donated by purchasing a sunflower, umbrella or other merchandise during the event.
