After a successful summer season at Calbourne Water Mill, WightWays is continuing its popular wellbeing walking series throughout the winter, this time partnering with Harvey Browns Farm Shop and Café in Arreton.
The Winter Wednesday Wellbeing Walks give Islanders and visitors the chance to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy the island’s countryside — finishing each week with a warming bowl of homemade soup at Harvey Browns’ award-winning café.
Led by WightWays founder Rachel Richards, the walks start on Wednesday 5 November, following gentle 3–4 mile circular routes through the scenic Arreton Valley and surrounding farmland.
Rachel said:
“The response to our Watermill Wednesday Walks was incredible.
"People loved the combination of movement, conversation, and a treat at the end.
"Partnering with Harvey Browns allows us to keep that same spirit alive through the winter, with routes designed to lift mood, boost wellbeing, and celebrate local food.”
Walks start at 10am, last around 2 hours, and are suitable for adults of all ages and abilities.
Each session costs £16, including the walk and soup.
Group sizes are limited to keep the experience friendly and informal.
Pre-booking is essential via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1706861321159
Get outdoors this winter, enjoy the fresh air, and treat yourself to good company and hearty soup along the way!
