An Isle of Wight police officer has been recognised with one of the highest honours in UK policing.
PC Greg Blais, part of the Island’s District Policing Team, has been named the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) Response Officer of the Year 2025.
He received the award for his outstanding contribution to both his community and colleagues, demonstrating exceptional professionalism, dedication, and long-term commitment to frontline policing.
Acting Chief Constable Matt Boyle, NPCC Response Policing Lead, said:
“PC Blais’ dedication, professionalism and unwavering support for those he serves exemplify the very best of our profession.”
Chief Constable Alexis Boon, from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, added:
“PC Blais is a credit to the force, and we are proud to work alongside him.
"His dedication and commitment have been rightly recognised — he truly reflects our values of putting victims first, pursuing criminals relentlessly, and delivering exceptional local policing.”
Superintendent Rob Mitchell, Isle of Wight District Commander, said:
“PC Blais is a highly respected member of our Island response team.
"His passion for policing and his commitment to keeping our communities safe are extraordinary.
"We’re very lucky to have him.”
The NPCC Response Officer of the Year Award celebrates officers across the UK who go above and beyond in their role — protecting the public, supporting colleagues, and embodying the very best of modern policing.
