A group of B&Q staff have helped give Aspire’s garden in Ryde a new lease of life.

Emma, Dan, Helen, Joe and Bill from B&Q spent a day at Aspire’s Dover Street hub as part of Neighbourly’s Community Days 2025, working to tidy and transform the outdoor space.

The team cleaned the garden, built a new planter, refreshed the rockery, and sanded and varnished benches — turning an underused area into a welcoming spot for visitors to relax and meet.

Emma, who led the group, said:

“We’re so glad Aspire are happy with what the team achieved. We all had a fantastic day!”

An Aspire spokesperson added:

“We’re so grateful to the B&Q team. Their energy and enthusiasm have made a real difference — our garden is now a lovely space the community can enjoy.”

Aspire is a Ryde-based charity that supports people of all ages across the Isle of Wight through community projects and activities.
