P.J.Thorne(Butchers) established 1986 is a traditional family butchers, in the centre of the village of Freshwater, on the Isle of Wight.
Our aim is to provide top quality meat and poultry for any occasion, whether it be a barbecue for 60 or a cosy meal for 2 at home.
We sell local meat wherever possible,with the exception of our beef, which is mainly sourced from the Aberdeenshire area of Scotland, this being the best in the U.K.
Our speciality is the production of our own made, multi award winning sausages, with a huge variety of flavours to suite every palate, especially popular in the summer barbecue season, all made from the finest ingredients in natural casings, no artificial ones being used. We also make a gluten free pork sausage for those with special dietery needs.
We are very aware of animal welfare and like to stock what we refer to as happy meat/poultry(free range),Christmas poultry is all free range coming mainly from Island farms. Game has also become very popular over the past few years, we have an arrangement with a local shoot to take all local West Wight birds, consisting of Pheasant, Partridge, Wild Duck etc. to compliment our seasonal award winning Pheasant and Pork Sausages available from October until February.

7.30am.- 3.00pm. Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
7.30am.- 12.30pm. Thursday & Saturday.
