There are extra patrols to combat shoplifting on the Isle of Wight, this Christmas.
Officers from the Newport, Ryde, Cowes, Sandown and Shanklin Safer Neighbourhoods Teams are carrying out dedicated patrols in town centres. They are promising a zero tolerance approach and that will also mean patrols by plain clothes officers, CCTV and store security.
