The vicar of Newport, one of just 36 Chaplains to The Queen, will be presented to his Royal boss at a garden party, today.
Canon Stephen Palmer is vicar of both Newport Minster and St John’s Church. The Beacon first reported that he had been appointed a royal chaplain in June. He is required to hold a service once a year, usually in the Queen's Chapel at St James's Palace in Windsor.
