A Japanese businessman has been convicted of abducting and dismembering Lucie Blackman, whose father lives on the Isle of Wight.
56 year old Joji Obara was acquitted of raping and killing the 21-year-old hostess. Her body was found in a cave. Joji Obara is already serving a life sentence for raping nine other women, one of whom died. Property developer Tim Blackman, his daughter Sophie and Lucie’s mother Jane Steare have welcomed the verdict, eight years after Lucie’s death.
