Traffic routes between Niton and Ventnor are going on show to the public.
It follows the Undercliff Drive saga, after which plans to stabilise one of the Island’s southern most routes were shelved. Alternative inland traffic routes, as well as measures to repair and extend the life of Undercliff Drive, will be explored. Conclusions drawn from the consultation will form the basis of a bid to central Government for the funding required to implement them. The exhibition will take place at the Botanic Gardens, Ventnor between 9 February and 26 February 2010. You can view the displays between 10am and 4pm. Council officers and staff from partners Halcrow will be on hand on 9 February 2010 only, to answer questions. You can also download the information from Monday 8 February from the Council's website, www.iwight.com.
