Adult mental health services on the Isle of Wight are amongst the best in the country, according to a survey by the Healthcare Commission.
It assessed all adult mental health services in England, through a patient questionnaire which focused on 38 issues in 10 categories, including how trustworthy the health professionals are, what counselling is on offer and if patients have a say in their medication. The Isle of Wight was among the top performing 20% of NHS Trusts in ten. It is a huge improvement since 2006, when the service rated among the top performers in just three categories.
