Three new bus routes will be run by the IW Council, because operator Southern Vectis has decided to discontinue them.
Services between Gurnard, Cowes and Northwood, and Havenstreet, North Wootton and Folly Lane will now be run by the local authority. Routes 27, 28 and 29 were considered loss making by the bus operator and were due to end on 30 August. The Council admits the routes will be run slightly less often and says it has no more money to pick up where Southern Vectis decides to abandon services.
