THINGS ARE LOOKING UP FOR ISLAND ASTRONOMERS

The Vectis Astonomical Society, based in Newchruch, is set to mark 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy.

On the 25 January they’re hosting a session to encourage us to observe the night sky. It takes place from 7:30pm in the village. In March, the society will set up its telescopes at Brading Roman Villa.
