Sumptuous costumes worn by Emily Blunt in the hit movie ‘The Young Victoria’ go on display at Osborne House from Friday July 3 to Thursday July 30.
The two costumes from the film on show are a yellow silk organdie dress and a green silk day dress .
English Heritage curator Michael Hunter has used the opportunity to put on display – for the first time – two pairs of Queen Victoria’s stockings, in black and in white and both embossed with her cipher. A pair of her white kid gloves are also on view, alongside hats and bonnets once worn by the royal children.
“Having the costumes here at Osborne House is a wonderful opportunity to present the lively, happier side of Queen Victoria that was so much a part of her character when she and Prince Albert came to live here as a young married couple” he said.
The DVD is on sale from July 13 , for more details on the DVD and on the film visit
