From an island to the Island, the Sandown Carnival Association is teaching a dance usually seen in the Bahamas.
The Junkanoo Workshop takes place on 26 April, between 2 and 4pm, at Sandown Town Hall on Grafton Street. It’s free and it’s a chance for the town’s 11-18 year olds to get into the groove, Caribbean style. It’ll be taught by The winner of this year’s Miss Bahamas Junkanoo Competition, Nassau.
