24 raced to Poole and back (Team Conrad/26 took the honours in 31minutes 45 seconds), while 13 boats made it to the Devon coast, without a refuelling stop. Buzzi crossed the line first, in 2hours 18minutes 5 seconds, just four seconds ahead of Invernizzi. It meant an average speed of 91.01mph over the 184 mile course.
