Stunt snails in action.
A £500 reward’s being offered, following the theft of “essential equipment” for two “stunt snails”, during Bestival.
Red snail shell backpacks and feeler helmets were taken from a dressing room, during the three-day music festival at Robin Hill Country Park. The performers say, “The helmets can be replaced easily, but the shells took a long time to assemble as they are specifically designed for death-defying stunts such as somersaults & a variety of dizzying balancing acts.” Meanwhile, Earlybird tickets for Bestival 2009 (4-6 September) went on sale on 12 September.
