A plan to transform Island education from three to two-tier is being taken to parents’ groups, local organisations, charities and businesses.
A consultation has been launched, ahead of the huge change in schooling here. There will be six new secondary schools and two new primary schools. But at this stage, parents and employers are being told that they can get involved: for instance, in Bolnore in West Sussex parents won the right to set up an eco-school in village woodlands. A seminar will take place on 10 March 2009, at Cowes Yacht Haven. There will also be a number of seminars:
