A conservation award’s been won by a scheme to regenerate historic buildings in Ryde.
The Isle of Wight Society has recognised a project to regenerate St Thomas's churchyard, involving stone conservation and work to replicate the original cast iron railings. The Ryde Townscape Heritage Initiative Scheme’s due to be completed in 2010. The award will be presented on 3 April at a ceremony at Newport’s Quay Arts Centre.
