Police are investigating a road traffic collision in which a cyclist was injured in Newport, Isle of Wight.
At approximately 9.45am on Thursday, October 15, 2009, a small silver car was involved in a collision with a cyclist at the mini-roundabout junction between ‘Riverway’ and ‘Hunnycross Way’.
The cyclist, a 22-year-old man from East Cowes, Isle of Wight, received minor injuries.
The motorist in the silver car is alleged to have driven away from the collision along Hunnycross Way.
PC Lucy Critchlow said: “I would like to thank members of the public who stopped at the scene to help the injured cyclist. Police are now appealing for any more witnesses who saw the collision or the small silver car either before or after the collision. I would also appeal directly to the driver of the car to come forward and contact police.”
