Ryde Golf Club has reopened in time for Easter, after the refurbishment of its clubhouse.
Volunteers worked with Island-firm Mountjoy to update the building with new features including a bar and kitchen and a new trophy cabinet. Founded in 1895, Ryde Golf Club moved to its current location in 1923. Guest of honour at the club’s party on 14 March was former Deputy Chief Executive of the Royal Parks Mike Fitt. The club says “These improvements, together with work on the course…are intended not only to improve the service to members but also to demonstrate the commitment of Ryde Golf Club to its existing course despite recent rumours and speculation to the contrary.” Find out how to become a member by calling Club Secretary Richard Dean or email
