The modernisation of Medina High school continues, with the official unveiling of a new science block.

The nine laboratories and offices will be followed by a new mathematics and ICT block, to be opened in September.  Headteacher Richard Williams said, "The new state of the art science facilities were much needed and provide staff and students with equipment for the 21st century."  Under the Island’s educational reforms, the school is expected to close and become a secondary school, split over the High School and Downside Middle School sites.
