The lack of parking and youth facilities remain the two biggest problems in Cowes. That’s the finding of a meeting of the town’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team, which took place last month.
Meanwhile, complaints about general anti-social behaviour have replaced bad behaviour that’s drink related, which was highlighted last time the survey was carried out. According to the team, between 1 April 2008 and the end of January 2009, public disorder incidents and assaults fell by nearly 20%, criminal damage fell by 33%, and house burglaries went down by nearly 19%.
