MILITARY ROAD CRASH CLAIMS SECOND LIFE

A second person has died following a crash on Military Road at the weekend. 

22 year old motorbike rider Andrew John Newnham, from Fairlee Road in Newport, died on Tuesday at Southampton General Hospital's intensive care unit. 23-year-old teacher Emily Burley, from The Square in Freshwater, was pronounced dead on arrival at St Mary's Hospital, on Sunday luncthime.  She was travelling as a passenger in a VW Polo when it collided with a Suzuki motorbike.  The car driver, a 23-year-old Freshwater man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
