The local star of the TV show ‘Undercover Boss’, Fiona Page has gone back to her roots.
With no reflection on the ‘interestingly’ run Park Resorts Leisure Company (Channel 4 Thursday 17th July) Fiona has decided to use her many obvious talents, along with husband John, to manage one of the Island’s best loved hostelries.
From our fly on the wall view of the goings on of the Norwich Leisure Camp in the first part of the programme, the organisation that Fiona brought to the Shanklin Park was truly inspirational and well deserved the accolades steeped upon her from her bosses at H.Q.
However, Fiona and John’s hearts lie in the licensed trade and teaming up with the landlord at the Buddle Inn, Niton have found vent for their many and varied talents.
Fiona says, ‘We managed the Buddle some years ago and only tragic family circumstances cut short our stay. We said at the time, this is the only place that would tempt us back into the trade and with the vision of the landlord and his plans for the future our hopes were realised. Alongside one of the most beautiful Inns on the Island we have created a stylish Brasserie that has to be seen to be believed – waitress service, moody music, intimate dance floor, it has everything and we really are excited for the future.’
