Isle of Wight writer Kate Young sets off on a charity challenge to China, today.
The 33 year old from Newport is to start her Trans-Siberian Writing Challenge, which will see her travel almost 5,000 miles on the Trans-Siberian Railway through China, Mongolia, Siberia and Russia, in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Over the 18 day trip, Kate must write at least 100 A5 pages. It means she’ll return with a small book of approximately 25,000. Find out more at
