The team in France.
Up to 40 family members, friends and representatives from a number of organisations, along with Chief Fire Officer Paul Street, were expected to meet the Square to Square cycling team in Rome, today.
They were due to arrive in St Peter's Square, Vatican City at lunchtime. Their journey through France and across the Alps was 1459 miles. It has been in aid of the Wessex Cancer Care Trust and the team of fire fighters plan to buy life-saving kit with the tens of thousands of pounds that they have raised.
