An Isle of Wight housing association is competing in the regional heats of a top National Housing Federation award, on 16 June.
Medina Housing Association is among those shortlisted the Federation’s South East What We Are Proud Of awards 2010. The organisation will give a presentation at the awards dinner at Hotel du Vin in Brighton before vote for the winner. Medina Housing Association’s Growing Spaces project targets families on low incomes on the Isle of Wight, and provides them with raised vegetable beds in their gardens and communal areas, as well as compost and plants and seeds to encourage residents to grow their own food.
