Trying to use council facilities this Christmas? Here's what you need to know....
Many Isle of Wight Council services will close down 4pm on Christmas Eve and won’t reopen until 2 January 2009. The Call Centre and Newport Help Centre will re-open between 9am and 4pm on the 29, 30, 31 December, but will be closed on New Year's Day.
If you need to report an emergency problem on the roads (like a fallen tree) you can call: 01983 525121/ 823777.
For emergencies involving council buildings, ring 01983 821105.
Wightbus services will operate a revised timetable over Christmas. A normal Saturday service will run on 27 December.
Refuse and recycling collections will be changed for three weeks over the Christmas period.
LynbottomTip will be closed on Christmas Day only.
