ISLE OF WIGHT BUS USERS TO HAVE THEIR SAY

Bus Users on the Isle of Wight, are to have a chance to meet the people responsible for running their local bus services.

National Passenger Group Bus Users UK is holding one of its Bus Users Surgeries in Newport, on:
St; Thomas’s Square, 10am – 3pm, Wednesday 28th October 2009.

The surgery will be held on board a Southern Vectis bus parked in the Square, and senior management from Southern Vectis will be on hand to discuss comments and suggestions. Everyone will receive a written response if required.

Local Bus User Group I.W. Bus Users Group will also be in attendance on the day.

Phil Tonks, Operations Officer for England, Bus Users UK said;

“It is important that local bus users on the Island get to meet the people responsible for providing some of the local bus services. Public transport is a vital service, and this type of meeting helps people to have their say whilst out and about in the town”.
