An Isle of Wight woman passionate about books has become the only person in the country to complete a modern apprenticeship in library work. On Thursday, Selina Smith will be presented with her Modern Apprenticeship certificate.
She works for the Island’s library service as a full time Library and Information Assistant. Selina joined the Library Service as a Saturday assistant at Sandown Library in 2001 while she was still at school.
