East Cowes firm GKN Aerospace has been awarded a $US 100m contract, by Belfast's Bombardier Aerospace.
The company will design and manufacture the winglet for the new Bombardier CSeries aircraft, with first deliveries in early 2011. The contract lasts until 2025. The winglet will help reduce fuel burn, lowering emissions.
