Island equestrians can take a leap forward with specailist training.
The Allendale Equestrian Centre at Godshill was the only riding centre on the Island to have British Horse Society (BHS) Registered Instructors and now it is the only Where to Train Centre, hosting specialist courses. The British Horse Society Stage 1 & 2 Training Programme is aimed at school leavers who wish to work in the equestrian industry as riding instructors, trainers or yard managers. 17 year old Gayle Jackson from Shanklin was among the first to register. She said, “I have been riding since I was 10, but now I’ve started this course I’m amazed how much I’ve still got to learn.”
