A £6,500 grant could lead to Island homes and businesses being heated by sustainable bio-fuels.
The South East Woodland and Timber Fund has given the IW Council the cash to conduct a wood fuel assessment and strategy. Part of the Eco Island plan, it will fund an investigation into how wood can be used to heat property here. It’s hoped businesses and individuals will be encouraged to use logs, wood chips and pellets.
