Three hundred children from 36 Island primary schools have been finding out what it is like to take part in the Island Games.

Sandown High School hosted the event which saw schools joining forces to represent the Cayman Islands, Greenland, Gibraltar, Menorca, Rhodes, St Helena and the Isle of Wight. Greenmount Samba band led the opening ceremony, in front of a 500 strong crowd.
