Organisers say the Isle of Wight Walking Festival boasts something for everyone.

It was officially launched on Saturday, by High Sheriff Alan Titchmarsh. For 2008 there will be everything from two events that last just 300 yards, to a 72 mile walk around the circumference of the Island.


The "world's smallest paddle steamer" is dwarfed on the Medina.

There are several special and themed walks, including ghost walks, fossil hunting, wildlife at night, and yoga walks.
