The Isle of Wight Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee meets later, to consider the issues that will help shape the next IW Council budget and in turn our council tax payments.
Their conclusions will be presented to Cabinet on February 9 and formally proposed to the full council on 24 February. IW Council leader Cllr David Pugh is warning that 2010 will be a challenging time. He says, "There will be difficult decisions to be made as part of this year's budget setting and the views of our overview and scrutiny committee will help the budget process. The overview and scrutiny committee meets at 6pm on February 1 in Committee Room 1 at County Hall.
