FINES AND WARNINGS IN COUNCIL CRACKDOWN

The IW council’s been cracking down on dog fouling and litter dropping. 

According to the latest figures, since April 2008, the authority’s issued 8 warnings and 13 fixed penalty notices to dog owners who’ve failed to clean up after their pooches.  There have been 344 warnings to people who’ve dropped litter and 3 fixed penalty notices. And 68 people were warned for leaving their waste out on a non-collection day.
