This year’s Isle of Wight Festival line-up is now complete. With final additions O.A.R, Detroit Social Club, Local Natives and crowd pleasers Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel.
Also joining them are NME Award winners The Big Pink, critic's favourite Bombay Bicycle Club, one to watch Semi Precious Weapons (who are currently touring with Lady Gaga) and veteran punk rockers The Members.
This year the festival will also be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s legendary performance at the Isle of Wight Festival, which was his last major performance before he died. In his honour the ultimate Hendrix tribute act, Are You Experienced? will open the weekend in the Big Top with a special performance just for campers on Thursday night.
Between 11th - 13th June, over fifty of the hottest names in music will be making their way, by plane, train, boat or bus to Seaclose Park, Newport to give festival goers a weekend they won’t forget and start the 2010 festival season in style. This year’s line-up includes international superstars Paul McCartney, Jay-Z, The Strokes, Blondie, Pink and Orbital, currently in vogue Florence + The Machine, Editors, Paloma Faith, La Roux and Marina and the Diamonds, firm festival favourites Biffy Clyro, Crowded House and James as well as a plethora of hotly tipped artists including The Courteeners, The Coronas, Noah and the Whale and I Blame Coco.
