Trading Standards officers are reminding licensees how not to sell banned goods to children.
They’re holding a dedicated seminar at the Ryde Castle Hotel, between 10am and midday today. It follows “disappointment” that eight outlets (including two major UK retailers), broke the law by selling tobacco to a child, as part of a test purchase exercise. Sales assistants will be taught how to spot fake id and how alcohol affects St Mary’s Accident & Emergency Department.
