The Environment Agency has published a map showing where the Island is likely to flood over the next century.
The draft document is open to public consultation until 11 July and has a bearing on insurance premiums and development plans. The map also determines how floods can be managed long-term. You can see the document at libraries and on the agency’s website at
www.environment-agency.gov.uk. If you would like to comment, send details to Regional Strategic and Development Planning, Environment Agency, Guildbourne House, Chatsworth Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1LD or email
