Island cycle pressure group CycleWight is to host a stand in St James’ Square in Newport on 26 June.
Maps, advice and information about local and national routes will be on offer. Newport’s Wight Mountain cycle shop will be providing help for people with broken bikes, through a Dr Bike service. Tim Thorne, from CycleWight said, “You only have to look at the roads and cycle tracks on the Island to there is a huge number of people of cycling. Many people are concerned about the safety aspect of cycling but it is now generally recognised that the more people who cycle the safer it becomes” The Isle of Wight was voted one of the ten best places in the World to cycle. This is an opportunity to find out on what people may be missing. And you can find out more about the forthcoming Wight Wheels Challenge at
