A young musician has organised a concert to help raise funds for her brother’s charity cycle challenge.
On Tuesday night, Sally Halsey performed at Ventnor Baptist Church previewing pieces she’ll perform at Longleat House and in Scotland in July. Sally and her cellist father James Halsey are known as the Halsey Duo. They perform with Josh Lynch, who is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. Their varied programme included Fauré, Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn and Prokofiev. The hospice cycle challenge involves a team of sixth form students from Medina High School who are cycling the length of France, 600 miles, in 8 days.
